BS Degrees Gain Recognition as 16-Year Qualification in Punjab
The School Education Department has officially recognized the BS degree equivalent to 16 years in Punjab, a groundbreaking decision that is expected to benefit more than 16,000 teachers across the country. Previously, BS graduates were excluded from the seniority list, making them ineligible for departmental promotions, while only MA and MSc degree holders could advance. With this policy shift, BS degree holders are now equally eligible for promotions, marking a historic step toward fairness and progress in the education sector.
