Instructions for Uploading AIOU Assignments on the Aagahi LMS Portal
The LMS portal is a modern Learning Management System which called in AIOU offecial Language is AGAHI LMS PORATL that Allama Iqbal Open University introduced in 2021 for distance learning. In this post, we will explain to students of Allama Iqbal Open University how to upload their assignments using the LMS portal. On this page of the AAGAHI LMS Portal of AIOU we will explain how to upload your exam assignments online. Please carefully read through each point to understand the procedure.

Accessing the Aagahi LMS Portal:
- The Aagahi LMS Portal can be accessed in two to three ways. The first method is through an SMS you receive on your mobile phone. This SMS will contain your username and password, along with a link at the bottom. By clicking this link, you will be directly taken to the LMS portal page.
- The second method is to search for the Allama Iqbal Open University website on Google with the keywords “AIOU.EDU.PK.” Once on the website, log in to the Aagahi LMS Portal. A visual representation of this process is shown below.


Additionally, the third method is to type “AAGAHI LMS OF AIOU” into Google or use the full link: https://aaghi.aiou.edu.pk/. By doing this, you will be directed to the LMS Portal page.
Upon entering the portal, you will encounter an informational page that often confuses students. This page is designed to provide updates or information to students before they access the portal after confirm your admission process.


How to Set LMS Portal for Uplaoding Assignemnts AIOU
To close this informational page, there will be a small “X” cross symbol right in front of the word “Attention.” Click on it, and the page will disappear, revealing the portal behind it.
- If you need to upload using a computer or laptop, the process is straightforward. However, if you are uploading from an Android mobile device, the first step is to set your mobile to resemble a computer or laptop interface. To do this, click on the three dots at the top of the portal. This will bring up several options, as shown in the image below. From these options, click on “Desktop site,” and your mobile will display the portal in a computer-like format. Please refer to the images below.By clicking on the indicated symbol, your mobile will present the portal in a manner similar to the image shown.By enabling this setting, all LMS portal options will be displayed on your mobile device, allowing you to easily zoom in, read, understand, and use all the features.
- After that, select the purpose for which you want to use the portal. If you are an international student, click on the “LMS Portal for International Students.” If you are enrolling in Face-to-Face Programs, click on that option. For Online Workshops (through Microsoft Teams) or if you wish to use a previous semester’s portal, click on “Previous LMS Portals.” Since our current goal is to upload exam assignments, we will click on “Assignments” and select the box for the relevant semester, as shown in the image.



Enter your username and password
On the next page, you will see a view where you need to enter your username and password. For the username, you should input the ID that the university has sent you via SMS, which is your student ID. For example, if your student ID is 000055544, you need to add @aiou.edu.pk to it, creating your ID as 000055544@aiou.edu.pk
3. Please remember that any letters or digits in your ID that are in uppercase should be typed in uppercase, and those in lowercase should be typed in lowercase. For the password, enter the one provided by the university or the one you have previously set. Once you’ve filled in this information, click the “Log in” button.
After logging in, click on “My Courses.” Here, you will see all your semesters listed, or, if you are a first-time student, the courses will be displayed. There are some precautions you should take, as outlined below:

Now Select your subjects according to their codes. If you have completed all your assignments, write down the codes in order on a piece of paper to facilitate their selection on the portal. If you also need to upload the first and second assignments, maintain the same order for those as well.




Incorrect assignment Upoading problems on AAGAHI LMS Portal
After entering your username and password, click the “Log in” button. You will then be logged into your portal, and you should click on “My Courses.” In “My Courses,” you will see all your semesters listed, or if you are a first-time student, your courses will be shown. It is important to take some precautions, which are outlined below:
I. Select your subjects according to their codes. If you have completed all your assignments, write down the codes in order on a piece of paper as you prepare to upload the first assignments, and select them on the portal. If you also need to upload the first and second assignments, maintain the same order for those as well.
II. Carefully review your courses. Pay special attention to ensure that the file you are uploading matches the code you have selected.
III. Do not rush when uploading your assignments, especially as the deadline approaches. Instead of hurrying and risking errors, remain calm while uploading your assignments. Once an incorrect assignment is uploaded, you will be at the mercy of your instructor and will not be able to edit your submission other than in a few classes with a different mode of study.
IV. Name your files and numbers carefully to avoid accidentally uploading the wrong file. Keep the finalized files or assignments completely separate from the rest.
V. It is recommended to upload the first assignment on its designated date rather than rushing at the last minute; take your time to ensure quality.
Once you see this phase open up, you need to select your desired code. The codes are provided under “Navigation” in the form of boxes. If your codes do not show up on the portal, do not worry; this is not an issue on your part but rather an internal issue with the university that they will resolve in due time. If too much time passes and you have missed the deadline for your first assignment, you should visit your regional office to restore your course codes.
Once you select a code (for example, 8601), you will see options for the first and second assignments. You will need to select the first assignment to proceed.
