At an event call ed “Pakistan Digital Leap”, The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan announced a partnership that will be a game-changer in the digital landscape of higher education. Conducted under Higher Education Development Program (HEDP), implemented to support digital infrastructure at universities and higher education institutions in Pakistan, in collaboration with the World Bank, the event limited significant updates to Pakistan’s digital infrastructure to university representatives and key stakeholders at a very high level of accountability.
The event allowed TMC Pvt Ltd to be recognized as part of this transformation for its relatively small role. TMC was able to deploy Maktab ERP-SLCS and Al-Fihri Learning Management System (LMS) at 25 universities that made access to Maktab ERP-SLCS and Almubadara LMS available to over 6 million students. The Maktab ERP-SLCS and LMS engagement represents a stance away from the previous education systems to modern, tech-enabled and globally competitive educational standards in Pakistan.
The event also marked a first in Pakistan’s history — HEC Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad appeared as a holographic host, highlighting the innovation and forward-thinking that define this national initiative. Dr. Ahmad emphasized the importance of these digital tools in enabling students to compete with world-class institutions while helping universities reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
