An updated notification indicating the changes were made on August 7, 2025, in which all public and private schools across the province will be closed until August 31, and the reopening date is on Monday September 1, 2025.
This extension applies to all schools and educational institutions under the School Education Department’s jurisdiction, but it does explicitly say that it covers public and private schools.

All of the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of District Education Authorities (DEAs), were instructed to comply with the parameters as specified in the new holiday directive.
