Career Positions Available
We are inviting enthusiastic and qualified individuals to apply for the following positions for a period of six months. These positions are not extendable and are critical to the success of our project. The roles we are looking to fill include:
1. Consultants (3 Posts)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. Research Associates (2 Posts)
Qualifications: PhD in Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
3. Software Developers (3 Posts)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
4. Research Assistants (6 Posts)
Qualifications:
- 3 Positions: PhD students in Languages, Linguistics, or Translation Studies or an equivalent qualification.
- 3 Positions: MPhil students in Languages, Linguistics, or Translation Studies or an equivalent qualification.
5. Corpus Developers (6 Posts)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
6. Corpus Annotators (2 Posts)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
7. Corpus Transcribers (2 Posts)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Languages, Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
8. Typists (2 Posts)
Qualifications: FA (FSc/Intermediate) or equivalent.
Application Process
If you meet the qualifications for any of the above-listed positions and are interested in becoming part of our innovative project, please prepare your application carefully. Submissions should include:

- Attested photocopies of your degrees, diplomas, certificates, testimonials, domicile, CNIC, and any experience certificates.
Deadline for Applications:
Please submit your application by February 13, 2025. Applications must be delivered to Room No. 106, Centre for Languages and Translation Studies, First Floor, Academic Complex AIOU Islamabad.
Important Considerations
- Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview.
- AIOU reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications without providing reasons.
- No travel or accommodation allowances (TA/DA) will be provided for candidates attending the test or interview.
